27. 01.1945 – #never forget

On 27th January 1945, the gates of Auschwitz concentration camp, the extermination camp and symbol of the Holocaust, were brought down by Russian troops. On the occasion of this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day, the city of Bolzano commemorated the suffering of the prisoners and the deportation of many to other extermination camps with a wreath-laying ceremony and a series of initiatives, including guided tours of the former transit camp in Reschenstraße.
